What is Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT)? Complete Guide

If you've been living with the heaviness of anxiety, trauma, grief, or emotional patterns that just won't quit, no matter how many times you've tried to "work through it," you're not alone. And you're not broken. Your subconscious mind is doing exactly what it thinks it's supposed to do- keep you alive. Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) is designed to shift the well-meaning patterns into those that truly have value for you, quickly and without making you relive the hard stuff.

I'm Karen Seltz, one of only 34 certified RRT Specialists in the world. On this page, I'll walk you through exactly what RRT is, how it works, and whether it might be the right fit for you.

What is Rapid Resolution Therapy?

RRT was developed because its founder, a Ph.D. Social Worker,  noticed a fundamental flaw in the mental health field.  People in significant pain were told they had to fully feel all of the disturbing emotions that past difficult or traumatic events caused in order to get past them.  This was causing people to be retraumatized by reliving these events, taking them even further from relief and healing.

RRT creates positive change by communicating with both the conscious and subconscious minds at the same time in a way that is light, engaging, and supportive.  This streamlined approach that produces lasting results by getting the good news to the subconscious mind that you have already survived everything you've ever experienced and creating new useful meanings about these events.  This has been described by many  clients as closing all the open tabs in one’s mind, leaving you filled with clarity, energy, and focus.

Unlike talk therapy, which often revisits traumatic events in detail, RRT targets the root cause of distress at the subconscious level. The result? Meaningful change that sticks, after each session.

Key Takeaways

  • RRT works at the subconscious level. You don't have to relive painful memories.
  • Results typically happen immediately during each session.  Best results occur with Karen’s proprietary Total Subconscious Reboot™ Framework, which consists of three 90-120 minute-sessions.
  • There are only 34 certified RRT Specialists in the world.
  • It's effective for trauma, sexual abuse and trauma, anxiety, physical and emotional pain, depression, self-sabotage and more.
  • Karen Seltz, M.Ed., has completed over 1000 hours of RRT training and direct work with clients.

How Does RRT Actually Work?

The RRT Specialist takes full responsibility for causing a shift for you. This gives her the power to create it and puts you at ease. Once the stuckness and goal(s) are identified, everything the Specialist does is aimed at causing that intention to happen.

You will be taken through a series of short, enjoyable processes to shift those traumatic, high-definition memories into neutral, low-definition ones where they affect you as much as, “Hey, what did you have for dinner last Monday?”  Once your mind gets that no action is required, it stops sending the signals calling for you to take an action.  All of those events are then stored in a file cabinet in the basement. Your nervous system resets naturally.

Dr. Joe Dispenza says, “A memory without an emotional charge is wisdom.”  These past events become wisdom.

Techniques Used in RRT

Sessions typically involve guided visualization, strategic storytelling, and gentle suggestion. These techniques are designed to shift how memories and beliefs are stored in the brain. So they no longer trigger pain, avoidance, or reactive behavior. The language patterns used in RRT bypass mental resistance and create rapid internal shifts that feel natural, not forced.

What a Typical Session Looks Like

Sessions usually run 90-120 minutes and are available online. Karen starts by getting clear on what you want to resolve and determines what has been preventing that. It’s NOT your job to know that or figure it out! From there, she guides you through a number of short processes that work at the subconscious level to shift the emotional and behavioral patterns keeping you stuck- to dissolve the root cause of them.

Most people notice a significant difference after each session. There's no homework to maintain the gains, no reliving painful events, and no pressure.

What Can RRT Help With?

RRT is adaptable to a wide range of emotional, physical, and behavioral concerns, including:

  • Childhood, sexual, “Big T” and “little t”  traumas and PTSD, clearing the emotional weight of past events without having to relive them
  • Anxiety and phobias, releasing the subconscious triggers that keep fear in place
  • Rumination (persistent looping thoughts)
  • Grief and loss, processing pain and moving forward without getting stuck
  • Depression, dissolving negative thought loops and restoring emotional clarity
  • Limiting beliefs and stuck patterns, replacing self-sabotage with healthier automatic responses
  • Relationship difficulties, healing the emotional wounds that affect how we connect with others
  • Habits and addictions, addressing the underlying emotional drivers, not just the behavior

Because RRT works at the unconscious level, it can reach deeply ingrained problems that talk therapy often struggles to touch.

About Karen Seltz, Certified RRT Practitioner

I hold a Master's of Education in Counseling, and am a Certified Life Coach and Licensed Brain Gym® Consultant. But the credential I'm most proud of is being one of only 34 certified RRT Specialists worldwide, a distinction that required over 250 hours of focused training and a rigorous certification process.

I also developed the Total Subconscious Reboot™ Framework, a proprietary 15-day program that integrates RRT with subconscious reprogramming, quantum physics, and heart coherence to create faster, deeper, lasting breakthroughs. In this program, we clear multiple traumas and patterns across three two-hour sessions…without you having to relive a single painful memory.

My approach is compassionate, direct, and focused on getting you real results. I'm not interested in keeping you in therapy indefinitely. I want you to walk away clear, free, and ready to live the life you actually want.

Why Work With a Certified RRT Specialist?

RRT is a highly specialized method. The certification process is intentionally rigorous, and only 34 specialists in the world have met the standard. That number isn't a marketing angle; it reflects how seriously the training is taken and how carefully quality is maintained.

Working with a certified specialist means you're working with someone who has mastered the method, adheres to strict ethical guidelines, and is committed to continuing education. It also means your sessions are tailored to your specific situation, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Before Your Session

We start with a free 30-minute discovery call to talk about what's going on for you, what you'd like to change, and whether RRT is the right fit. There's no pressure and no obligation, just an honest conversation.

During Your Session

Come comfortable, with an open mind. You don't need to prepare or rehearse anything. Sessions are experiential and interactive. I'll guide you through the process step by step. Most sessions run two hours, but some are complete in 90 minutes.  All sessions are done online, in the comfort of your own space.  Be sure you will be undisturbed in a place where you can sit comfortably with your hands free.

After Your Session

Give yourself some space afterward. The shifts that happen in RRT are real and your system may need a little time to integrate. Quiet reflection, journaling, a nap, or a gentle activity can help. Many clients notice changes immediately; the shifts continue to unfold over the coming days or weeks as the mind continues to update.

Real Results From Real Clients

My clients consistently report feeling lighter, clearer, and more themselves after our work together. Common results include:

  • Relief from anxiety and panic that had been present for years
  • Freedom from trauma responses and triggers
  • Improved sleep
  • Reduced physical tension and pain
  • Stronger emotional regulation in relationships
  • A renewed sense of confidence, clarity, and forward momentum
  • A deep sense of worthiness and safety that is just there without thinking about it
  • Improved energy and focus
  • A regulated nervous system

One client described two sessions as bringing more relief from complex trauma than years of traditional therapy. That's not unusual. It's the nature of working at the subconscious level rather than just the surface.

Most people experience significant results within one to three sessions. The exact number depends on what you're working through, but RRT is designed to be efficient, not open-ended. My Total Subconscious Reboot™ program is structured as three two-hour sessions for those who want  the most comprehensive reset.

Yes. RRT is rooted in psychological principles around unconscious processing and is practiced by certified professionals who have completed rigorous training. It's specifically designed to avoid retraumatization, making it a gentler, quicker option than many traditional approaches.

Absolutely. RRT translates seamlessly to a virtual format. All you need is a quiet, private space, a reliable internet connection, and to have your hands free.

If you're looking for a targeted, relatively fast approach to emotional healing that doesn't require you to endlessly revisit the past, RRT is worth exploring. The best way to find out is through our discovery call. I'll be honest with you about whether I think it's a good fit, and if not, I'll point you toward something that is.

If you're ready to stop managing your emotions and start actually resolving what's underneath them, I'd love to connect. Book your free 30-minute discovery call and let's talk about what's possible for you.
